A couple of pics from last year this week. I'm really blessed to have two kids who really love each other. I love picking my daughter up from school and seeing how excited they are to see each other. They run to each other with grins ear to ear and hug. It's really sweet.

May Is Skin Cancer Awareness Month UV Skinz Review and Giveaway

I stumbled upon Rhonda's site selling UV Skinz shortly after learning my mom had skin cancer. I had my mom telling my to drench the kids in sunscreen and my husbands grandma telling me that sunscreen causes cancer. I was looking for a happy medium. I had heard of UV protective clothing but had a hard time finding something really stylish and fun that my kids could wear. That is what set UV Skinz apart from other site I've seen. She has something for everyone in the family on one easy site. We can all match if we wanted to or I could get something to fit everyones personality. I think it's cute how the little kids look so athletic in their shirts, like a surfer. There is a variety of short sleeved shirts and long leeved shirts to shorts to hats. really everything is covered. I love the idea of having my little ones protected without wearing a greasy chemically sunscreen, have you ever got that stuff in your eyes?? I tell you I wished it were just shampoo!

I got to test out the Ethan UV Skinz on my son Owen at our recent day trip to Six Flags. This is a real test we spent ALL day in the son and he wore his UV Skinz some light pants and a hat to help protect his face. He was very comfortable in his shirt and I loved it had a mock turtle neck to help protect his neck as well. We got home and NO BURN not even a touch of red!
We coordinated our son's swimming suits to his UV Skinz shirt and I feel confident we will have a great burn free summer.

All little girls should have the chance to prance and twirl in tutu! There is something magical that happens when she slides it up and instantly transforms into a ballerina... or a Princess... or maybe a Fairy. My daughters first tutu brought on a love for dance and ballet classes.

I was given the opportunity to review a custom tutu from Stephanie at TutuPosh Boutique. I was excited since I have seen MANY tutu sites and just handmade ones through my daughters dance studio and know many cost a arm and a leg! I decided on doing a fun patriotic theme for my daughters tutu! I received a big box and her tutu very delicately placed inside. I pulled it out and it looked showroom ready. My daughter was thrilled to see it and immediately put it on and began prancing around me house twirling and acting silly. Then out popped "Can I join dance class again". It's amazing what a tutu can inspire in your daughter. She can't wait to show it off for 4th of July!

What really stood out for me to this tutu was the anti-itch satin waistband with bow in the back. My daughter can wear it all day and not once complain about itching or hurting. It really provides a "finished" look to the tutu also.
