" Welcome Little One" Book Review and Giveaway

I was very excited to review this book after looking at Sandra Magsamen site and how funky and fun it was i knew it would be something right up my ally.
When our book arrived I surprised at the size it's about a square foot and starts the fun and surprises right on the cover with a touch and feel and heart. That drew my son in right away! We sat down to read it and he was in love. He is at an age where pop up, lift up flaps and bright colors are the favorite. It helps keep him occupied while mommy reads and is fun to ask questions about each page and find the answer. He loves pointing out the mommy. She is so sweetly cradling her baby in his minkey blankey. I love that each page features a different mommy baby pair from elephants to monkey's and each page holds a special surprise from a velveteen heart to a a lift up letter that say's I Love you! So cute and super sweet. The biggest surprise of all and my son's favorite is the tree that you push and it play " Rock a Bye Baby" he gets so giddy when we get to that page!
I think this book is a great gift for your own child or for a baby shower or birthday. My six year old even really enjoys it so i would say it's not just for toddlers. She enjoys sounding out the words and I'm sure she'll be able to read it to my son soon!


Sandra Magsamen has lots of great products and even does personalized products as well. he Ceramic plates are adorable! I'm really excited to see the 2 new books, My Little Monkey and Little Bear Hugs.to be published September 1st, 2009. I know they will be equally adorable to Welcome Little One!

Wordless Wednesday

Today is the last day of kindergarten! It has been a busy year and my daughter learned so much. I'm so proud! She also had perfect attendance this year! We went to her Teddy Bear Picnic today and had alot of fun. Her she is in all her glory:

So many kids wanted face painting done there weren't enough people to do it all. My dad stepped up to the plate and volunteered. My dad as awesome as he is doesn't have alot of artistic talent and I felt really bad for all the kids he did, lol. Of course Lindsey wanted her Papa to do her's then she was so mad when she saw it in the mirror.

Piggy Paint Review and Giveaway!

My daughter is six going on sixteen. Little miss independent. She is also a Diva and Fashionista. She love to wear makeup have her hair done is grown-up styles and have manicures and pedicures. This can be very exhausting for a momma to keep up on! My little dive won't have chipped polish or wear the same color for more than a few days, so you can imagine how many manicures I go through. Now she is in to her own little designs on her nails and momma just couldn't keep up. Then Piggy Paint was introduced to us! The fact that is is all natural and odorless means she can go off on her own and paint her nails and I don't worry about the fumes and chemicals. She can spend an hour doing her designs and I can have an hour of free time!
It's hard to see but here is one of her creations using her piggy paints these are the Polka Dots, not bad for a six year old:


I will admit I was a skeptic when I was reading the claims of Piggy Paint.

Sounded too good to be true and it would likely be a flop. I was wrong and was surprised to see how nice the finish was on my daughters nails! They were shiny and the color was beautiful. And YES it's completely odorless! That was my favorite part! we also tried out the nail polish remover which I was amazed worked since it didn't have that horrible smell!
I am extremly impressed by Piggy Paint my daughter loves the color variety and being allowed to do her nails the way she wants them, when she wants too!
